About this recipe: This is an easy to make and nourishing chicken soup. The bitterness of the bittergourd is diluted by the water.

Serves: 5 

  • 5 bowls water
  • 8 scallop
  • 1/2 bittergourd
  • 1 tomato, cut into eighths
  • 50g minced pork
  • 1 egg, beaten

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:40min 

  1. Rub salt onto the bittergourd and leave it for 5 minutes. Wash the salt away and slice thinly.
  2. Cook the water and scallops until it boils.
  3. Add in the bittergourd and tomato and allow it to cook for about 25 minutes.
  4. Add in the minced pork and stir for 30 seconds. Add in egg and stir quickly to break up into slivers. Serve.
