Steamed tofu and prawn with broccoli

    This dish is very presentable. Lots of colors from the combination of broccoli and prawns and tofu! Easy to come up with too.

    • 1 tube tofu, cut into 9 pieces
    • 9 prawns, shelled
    • 200g broccoli, cut into smaller pieces
    • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
    • 1 tsp cornflour mixed with 1 tbsp water
    • 2 small onions, sliced
    • 100 ml water


    1. Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for about 1-2 minutes. Remove and allow it to dry.
    2. Arrange the tofu around the sides of a plate and place a prawn on each piece of tofu. Place the half-cooked broccoli in the middle of the dish. Steam in a water-filled wok for 15 minutes.
    3. In the meantime, combine in a saucepan the rest of the ingredients. Allow it to boil and then remove from heat. Pour over the steamed tofu, prawns and broccoli. Serve.
