Soya sauce chicken with potatoes

    This is a very nice fragrant braised chicken dish. Instead of using light soy sauce like in 麻油鸡, we used dark soy sauce instead.

    Ingredients

    • 4 slices ginger
    • ½ tbsp sesame oil
    • 500g chicken meat, chopped
    • 4 potatoes, quartered
    • 5 tbsp dark soy sauce
    • ½ tbsp sugar

    Directions

    1. Fry the ginger in sesame oil until fragrant under medium heat.
    2. Add in the chicken, potatoes, dark soy sauce, sugar and stir to combine.
    3. Keep covered and allow it to cook under low heat for 45 minutes. Serve.
