Sambal kangkong

    For some reason, kangkong always goes with sambal. I don't think I've seen another combination with kangkong!

    • 2 big chilis
    • 1 clove garlic
    • 20 dried shrimps
    • 2 shallots
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 2 bundles kangkong (about 300g)
    • A pinch of salt
    • 1.5 tbsp light soy sauce


    1. Pound together the chili, garlic, shrimps and shallots.
    2. Fry in a wok with oil until fragrant. Add in the kangkong and stir-fry to mix. Add salt and light soy sauce. Stir-fry until the kangkong turns soft.
