Deep-fried breaded red snapper

    Red snapper is sweet and the flesh is fine. You can ask the fishmonger to fillet it when you buy it.

    • ½ kg red snapper, filleted, cut into pieces
    • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • A dash of pepper
    • 1 egg mixed with 1 tbsp flour
    • ½ cup breadcrumbs


    1. Marinate the red snapper fillets in light soy sauce, sesame oil and pepper for about 1 hour.
    2. Dip into the egg mixture and then roll in breadcrumbs. Deep-fry in a deep fryer until golden brown. Serve.
