Steamed fish in chili sauce

    This is a dish that requires little preparation. When I don't have much time to cook something up, I rely on ready-made sauces like this garlic chili soy bean sauce from Lee Kum Kee.

    • 2 tbsp garlic chili soy bean sauce (蒜茸豆鼓酱)
    • A few slices ginger, cut into strips
    • ½ chili, chopped
    • ½ kg fish
    • Cilantro as garnish


    1. Fry the garlic chili soy bean sauce, ginger and chili until fragrant.
    2. Pour over the fish and steam for 10 minutes. Serve with cilantro.
