Pan-fried yellowfish with taucheo

    Yet another fish dish! We don't get tired of having fish even though we eat it almost every day.

    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 1 tbsp Teochew taucheo (soybean paste)
    • Small amount of Sichuan vegetables
    • 1 tomato, quartered
    • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    • A few slices of ginger
    • A small amount of water
    • Cilantro, chopped
    • 2 yellowfish


    1. In a hot oiled pan, fry together all ingredients except cilantro and yellowfish. Fry under medium heat until fragrant. Set aside.
    2. Pan-fry the fish until golden brown on both sides. Remove from pan and plate.
    3. Pour the sauce over the fish and serve.
