Papaya and white fungus dessert soup

    This is a common dessert that you can get in restaurants. We like it so we decided to replicate last week.

    • 500ml water
    • 25g dried white fungus, soaked until soft
    • 5g nan xing (南杏)
    • 5g bei xing (北杏)
    • 1 tbsp goji berries
    • 1 papaya, cubed
    • 150g rock sugar


    1. Add water into a pot and cook until it starts to boil. Add the white fungus, nan xing, bei xing, goji berries and allow it to cook for 20 minutes under high heat.
    2. Add in the papaya and rock sugar and allow it to cook for another 45 minutes. Serve hot or chilled.
