Nai bai cai (奶白菜) stir-fry

    Just learnt that this vegetable is called nai bai cai! Always called this white stem cai xin.

    • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    • Some dried shrimps
    • 1/4 carrot, sliced
    • 1 bunch white stem chye sim (about 350g)
    • 100ml water
    • A pinch of salt


    1. Fry the garlic and dried shrimps until fragrant.
    2. Add in the carrots and white stem chye sim. Stir-fry for about 1 minute.
    3. Add water and salt and cover with a lid until the chye sim wilts. Serve.
