Fried egg noodles

    As the name goes, egg noodles taste very egg-y. We love this! This is one of the dishes we cook frequently at home.

    • 500g egg noodles
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • Pepper seeds to taste
    • 2 candlenuts
    • Chili padi to taste
    • 10 prawns
    • 5 stalks chye sim, cut
    • 1 piece fish cake, sliced
    • 1 stalk spring onion, chopped


    1. Blanch the egg noodles in boiling water for about 4 minutes. Rinse with cold water, strain and set aside.
    2. Pound together the garlic, pepper seeds and candlenut. Fry in a hot oiled pan with chili padi until fragrant.
    3. Add in the egg noodles, prawns, chye sim and fish cake. Fry until well-combined and until the prawns are pink. Garnish with spring onions. Serve.
