    About this recipe: This is a dish with a very rich, pungent smell and taste. Serve with rice.

    Ingredients

    • 10-12 eggs
    • 1 pig trotter, chopped
    • 4-5 tbsp black soy sauce
    • 300ml water
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 2 star anise
    • 6 cloves garlic
    • Salt to taste
    • 2 dried chilies

    Directions

    1. Boil eggs for 10-15mins, leave to cool and peel shell.
    2. Dip pig trotters in hot water and throw hot water away (to remove smell).
    3. Add black soya sauce, water, cinnamon stick, star anise, garlic and salt.
    4. Bring to boil and add pig trotters. Add dried chili. Boil for 30mins, add eggs and continue boiling for another 30mins.
