Fishball soup with pork slices

    This is an easy fishball soup recipe. We sweeten the soup by adding lots of yellow beans and ikan bilis.

    • 2.5L water
    • 2 handfuls yellow beans
    • 1 handful ikan bilis
    • 15 fishballs
    • 50g pork slices
    • Cilantro, chopped
    • A pinch of salt
    • 5 lettuce leaves
    • Spring onions for garnish


    1. In a large pot, boil the water, yellow beans and ikan bilis together for about 1 hour. Remove the yellow beans and ikan bilis.
    2. Add the fishballs, pork slices, cilantro and salt.
    3. Place one lettuce leaf into each bowl and pour soup over it. Garnish with spring onions. Serve.
