Beansprouts and salted fish stir-fry

    Salted fish is not very healthy, but then it just tastes so good! Beansprouts and salted fish is one of the classic combinations!

    • 1 piece tau gwa, sliced
    • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    • ½ chili, sliced
    • 1 piece salted fish, sliced
    • 50g salted vegetables, cut into strips
    • 1 stalk spring onion, cut
    • 350g beansprouts
    • 3-4 tbsp water


    1. In a hot oiled pan-fry the tau gwa slices until it is golden brown on both sides. Remove from pan and blot dry.
    2. Under medium heat, fry the garlic until fragrant. Add chili and mix well.
    3. Add salted fish, salted vegetables and spring onions and fry until fragrant.
    4. Add the beansprouts and stir-fry for about 1 minute. Add water and put back the fried tau gwa slices. Stir to combine. Serve.
