Potatoes and minced meat patties

About this recipe: These patties here are well-loved by kids! Remember to mash the potatoes till fine to get a smoother texture.

  • 300g potatoes, boiled, skinned and mashed fine
  • 150g minced pork or chicken
  • A pinch of salt
  • A dash of pepper
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tbsp oil


  1. Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl and allow it to sit for 1 hour.
  2. Oil a pan and wait for the pan to heat up. Once the pan is hot, use a tablespoon to scoop a portion of the mixture onto the pan. Press the mixture down on the pan to make a small patty of about 5cm in diameter.
  3. Pan-fry until golden brown on both sides. Serve.
